I like having the Sleep option as the default option for the shutdown button/dialog. When I am using the Windows 7 version of the start menu, I have this. But when I switched to the XP style 2 column option, I lost it.

Is there an option somewhere to modify what command is the default--the one that is displayed when I first click on the Windows flag/orb/start menu button?

Use the Customize Start Menu tab in the settings to edit the menu items.
Double-click on the "Shutdown dialog" in the LEFT column. This will open its settings. Change the Command to "sleep", the Label to $Menu.Sleep, the Tip to $Menu.SleepTip, and pick an icon you like.
