Hi, I recently upgrade from win 8 to win10, and have been using classic shell forever. But after I got win10, and changed to the metro skin theme, my taskbar has this pesky issue This damn green highlight on my all programs won't go away no matter what I do. I can't find an option in my default windows 10 settings, and I've tried uninstalling classic shell, clearing my computer of it's remnants, and re installing. Nothing. I thought it was just a default colour of the skin but seeing other screenshots I'm now convinced it is NOT. Can anyone help me fix this or at least tell me why this is happening? I just want it to be black / gray like everything else. I looked into editing the skin myself but I am way too noob to figure all that out :X

The highlight means you have new programs in the list. It should go away after you open All Programs once.

Yes. It is the second setting in the General Behavior tab - "Highlight newly installed programs"
