Post subject: | Windows 10 - Metro Skin Change Taskbar Color |
Hi, I'm figuring out how to change the Classic Shell color in Windows 10. I want it different from the Windows color setting. I tried Main_bitmap=$SystemAccentDark3|$StartBackground But it is not dark enough ![]() But when I try to enter any value like #FF0000 value on Main_bitmap or Main_Bitmap_Mask the taskbar just reverts to "grey". So is there a way to keep the Metro look but change to color to any hex value or black? ![]() Thanks. |

This post might help: viewtopic.php?f=17&t=4879&p=20716 For the Metro skin, you can use the Metro color value names. For the rest of the skins besides the Metro skin, the Menu Look tab will let you change the glass color. Note that editing the skin does not affect the Taskbar color. You can manually pick the taskbar color from "Windows 10 Settings" tab. |

Thanks I read that, but it seems I don't really understand the skin files. When I try this for example: Main_bitmap=$SystemText|$StartBackground Again the Menu is only grey. |

Are you saying that changing the Main_bitmap value in the skin changes the taskbar color? The skin should have no effect on the taskbar. |
