When I accidentally right-click "Start" and Win7 reverts to default Start-menu.
I usually sabotage myself when I have a lot of windows open

Q1: Is there any way of reactivating "Classic Start Menu" without rebooting. ?
Q2: A script file ?

Thank you

EDIT
- my solution a shortcut on Start -- see last post on this thread
- works with Win7/8 default non-classic start (too)

Start the EXE from C:\Program Files\Classic Shell\ClassicStartMenu.exe. It also supports command line switches: -toggle, -togglenew, -open, -settings and -exit. Look in the help file.

Thank you "GauravK" for your response

I have dabbled with script files but never applied switches to "Run" expressions
Q1: What would be the correct syntax be for adding the "-togglenew" switch to "ClassicStartMenu.exe path ?

Thank you :)

"%ProgramFiles%\Classic Shell\ClassicStartMenu.exe" -togglenew
"%ProgramFiles%\Classic Shell\ClassicStartMenu.exe" -toggle
"%ProgramFiles%\Classic Shell\ClassicStartMenu.exe" -open
"%ProgramFiles%\Classic Shell\ClassicStartMenu.exe" -exit
"%ProgramFiles%\Classic Shell\ClassicStartMenu.exe" -settings

Thank you "GauravK" for your assistance. :)

Exactly what I needed plus the bonus explanation for "Run" switches

===============
My solution: to avoid rebooting PC to get ClassicStart back again

I have a Folder on Start menu .. Name:= TOOLS
How:
Start > <pinned area of Start> RClick (not on an existing folder) > New Folder
Name:= TOOLS

Added a new shortcut onto my Start > "Tools" folder
How:
Tools (folder) > RClick > Create Shortcut >
Browse to:= <path to ClassicShell in programs folder> \ClassicStartMenu.exe
eg, C:\Programs2\ClassicShell\ClassicStartMenu.exe
[Next] button
Shortcut name:= ClassicStart (restart)
===============
