I hope this is the right place to post this. Hello I'm new and I love this software ALOT. However I'd like to know why there is no delete button when I search for a file. Is this a bug with mine?, did I disable something or is this just the way it comes? How do I delete a file from the start menu? Every right click option is displayed accept delete. ![]() |

Delete is not available because it is not clear in the search results which folder the file resides in, so you may accidentally delete the wrong file. Click on Explore, then delete the file from Explorer. Or click on the Pictures heading, which will open the search in Explorer and delete from there. |

@DreamKilla, if you are willing to install a free, replacement file copy software, called PerigeeCopy (http://jstanley.pingerthinger.com/pscopy), it also comes with the ability to delete files. You can right click search results and click PerigeeDelete or Shift+PerigeeDelete and delete them directly from the Start menu. It shows the full path of the item being deleted making it quite safe against accidental deletions: |
