The recent documents list is maintained by the system. Right-click on the taskbar, select Properties, and then go to the Start Menu tab. There should be a checkbox to store the recent documents.

I have the Recent Documents folder set to show under the Special Items tab in Classic Start Menu (set to display as a menu and show up to 15 items), but no matter how many documents I open, it remains (Empty). My OS is Windows 7 Pro, I'm using the Classic style, and my Classic Shell version is 4.2.1. Thanks for any help anyone can offer in figuring this out. |
