Hello,

Is it possible to change the shutdown function in Classic Shell?
In the menu I found that I could change this to restart, log off, lock, etc.
But I cannot use something I would like to.

Since Windows 8 at shutdown scripts are run in the background. At my office we use a Excel sheet to keep our worked hours for what project.
We used to have a log off script that opened this sheet when closing Windows down. After closing down this Excel sheet the computer did shut down.
Since Windows 8 that scripts are run in the background. So I think that Excel is still being started, but I can't reach it to fill out the form.

So now we upgraded all Windows 7 Pro computers to Windows 10 Pro and installed Classic Shell on all of them.

What I'm looking for is to change the shutdown option in Classic Shell so I can set a script/batch file which will start the excel sheet at shutdown and close windows down afterwards like we used to in Windows 7.
This would give Classic Shell some extra functionality and overcome this 'problem' that Microsoft created after changing the way Windows is shutting down.

I would thing it can't be that hard to put this in Classic Shell, or am I wrong?

In Windows 7 style, the Shutdown submenu can't have custom commands, you can only hide existing commands. You can add any command you want above "Shutdown" from the Customize Start Menu tab. Open Classic Start Menu Settings > Customize Start Menu tab. Press Insert key to add a new item, drag its icon to position it where you want and change the Command to Custom. Then double click the icon to edit it as you want.

In Classic style and Classic with two column style, there is more customization possible for the Shutdown menu. Open Customize Start Menu tab and you can scroll down in the left column of Available commands. Double click the Shutdown item and edit its Command field with your custom script.
