Hello All! A thought came to me while I was making my own custom skin....

Is it possible to have the start menu always open?

Essentially it would shift everything to the right(windows, icons).

Screenshots of what it would look like:

If anyone knows how, that would be great. If there is not way however, dont sweat it...I dont NEED it :)

Possible sure (but not through classic shell alone), but your probably better off with something like rainmeter http://rainmeter.net/
If you want something like that
You can even configure it to 'reserve space' so when you maximize a program it doesn't cover that space :P (which appears to be what your looking for)

No, if you mean dock the Start menu to the left. While editing and saving a skin for the Classic Start Menu (in Resource Hacker or another Resource Editor), it's better in fact if the Start Menu was not running at all, that is, if you right clicked on the button -> choose Exit. Saving a skin which is in use sometimes causes a sharing violation or causes Resource Hacker to corrupt the skin file.

No, I dont mean while editing. I mean just docking it on the left. I found out that it corrupts on my own :P

While you can't dock it to the left, you can hold down the Shift key while launching anything to not close the Classic Start menu, so at a time, multiple things can be opened using it.
