New PC Windows 8, updated to windows 8.1, downloaded and installed classic shell, appeared fine then I noticed my recycle bin icon has gone from the desktop. Have ticked recycle bin in Desktop Icon settings but it is still not there? Any ideas anyone. Also cannot save any shortcuts to desktop which is very useful at times. Win 8 is new to meso not sure if it is Classic Shell, WIndows 8.1 or what causing this. Any help appreciated. Thanks

Thanks but as mentioned I have done this, recycle bin is ticked but it does not show on my desktop. Nothing at all I save shows on my desktop! Am new to Win 8.1 but never had this problem before.
