| Post subject: | How to disable start menu on second monitor |
So I've noticed that with 2 monitors, I get the start menu and toolbar on both. I want it to work the way Windows 7 did and only have the start menu and toolbar on the main monitor and the secondary monitor shouldn't have that. Any way I can do this? Or do I need to deal with having 2 start menus and toolbars? |

You can do two things. If you wish to keep the second taskbar but not have a start button there, uncheck the start menu setting "Show on all taskbars" in the Start Button tab. If you wish to completely remove the secondary taskbar, it is done from the taskbar properties. Right-click on the taskbar and select Properties. I don't have a multi-monitor system in front of me at the moment and I can't tell you the exact name of the setting to disable the extra taskbar, but I'm sure you can easily find it. |
