Brand new ASUS laptop, Win 8. Just loaded Classic Shell, selected Start Menu version and then the look of Win7. Screen went blank. Can see cursor, and task manager, that is it. Upon reboot, see computer start up pic, name and pw entry screen, upon entering PW, goes blank. Looking for help... hard to diagnose or work on when you cannot see a screen... Have toggled all screen F keys, no change. thanks |

Looks like Explorer is crashing for some reason. Maybe this thread will help you get back to a working state: viewtopic.php?f=7&t=4213 |

Have toggled all screen F keys, no change. thanks I ran across this same issue with my sisters Asus Laptop, I went into Task Manager, Users, Right Click, Manage Accounts on the name, then u can create a Guest Acct, you will be able to get online and 100% access to laptop this way, however I am working on the issue of accessing thru Admin at this point. This will at least get you back into your PC. Hope this helps. Melissa
