How can I insert separator in Start menu ?

Check show all settings if its not already, then go to the customize start menu tab, then find separators in the right column, and place them where you need on the left column

You cannot, sorry. That section of the menu shows the files in the Start Menu folder, therefore cannot be edited through the settings. The closest you can do is create a file named "----------".

The closest you can do is create dummy files with names like --------- or add the items through classic shell

Well the Windows 10 Start "menu" allows items pinned to the right side to be grouped into categories/labels so for a future version, this is a nice idea.
