Hello, I was wondering if you could change the color of selected items in the start menu from that light blue color to the original blue that was used in Windows 95/98. Here is a picture of what I mean. Can I use this same blue for selected programs in the classic start menu? |

You can edit the skin file and change the color to anything you want. Here's a tutorial: http://www.classicshell.net/tutorials/skintutorial.html |

The parameters you need to adjust in the skin are Main_selection=#0000A0 and Submenu_selection=#0000A0 (#0000A0 is the hex blue selection color in your screenshot). Note that you will have to open Resource Hacker as administrator if you are directly editing the skin in C:\Program Files\Classic Shell\Skins. Otherwise, copy the skin to Desktop, edit it and replace it again. |
