In "Classic Skin" > "Solid color selection" > "The selection will use the system color instead of a gradient", it doesn't matter whether this checkbox is ticked or not. The robin's-egg-blue color does not change in any respects, nor can I locate where it is set. What or where am I missing here? |

Without this setting the selected item will have a bluish gradient and rounded corners. With this setting the selected item will be a solid color rectangle (usually blue). Is that not what you are seeing? Can you post a screenshot? |

Drop of two screen shots successful. What do I do next to make sure you receive them?MediaFire is new to me. In general, what do I have to do to keep future sets of Classic Shell screenshots associated with their emessage? |

Neither of your screenshots have anything selected. You can select a menu item by pointing to it with the mouse or using the arrow keys. |

We may be having a failure to communicate. "Solid Color Selection ... " shows that the bottom checkbox ([x]Solid Color Selection) has been ticked, and the [OK] button has been pressed to "lock in" the tick mark. "NO Solid Color Selection ... " shows that the bottom checkbox ([ ]Solid Color Selection) has NOT been ticked, and the [OK] button has been pressed to "lock in" the tick mark. Because the "Solid Color Selection" box is ticked differently in each case, I'm expecting the blue left vertical stripe to look different according to whether the "Solid Color Selection" checkbox is ticked or un-ticked. |

You are misunderstanding what "selection" means. The blue left vertical stripe is not "selection". Selection is the highlight for the currently selected menu item. |

Thank-you, Ivo. Now I understand the difference. And on to another topic ... Can you please direct me to instructions on attaching screen shots to forum posts via MediaFire? I don't see my own screen shots which I dropped there, so I'm wondering how to make this work for routine forum postings. |

You can't access the files that you drop in mediafire. Only I can see them. If you want to add pictures to a post you need to either add them as attachments or upload them somewhere and post a link. |
