Right-click on the taskbar, select Properties, go to Navigation, and click on the setting to go to the desktop automatically.

I install Classic Start Menu as part of imaging Windows 8.1 update 1. I also apply registry configuration at the same time. Last week, for some reason, computer, after imaging no longer defaults to the desktop and goes to Metro. There were no recent changes to the Classic configuration. I suspect the most recent MS patches causing the issue. Any ideas what's causing this? Current configuration below. Thank you. |
