I want to use Classic Start Menu with alternative Windows desktop shell, like bbLean, SharpEnviro or AstonShell. First haven't any kind of start menu, others have own implementation. But all three do not develop at least three years and they start menu not working well with Windows 8. Can I somehow call CSM from them by a command? |

If you create a shortcut with this as its target, it will open the start menu (assuming you have the same file-path as me): "C:\Program Files\Classic Shell\ClassicStartMenu.exe" -toggle From that you might be able to get something working ![]() |

The start menu is designed to run inside the Explorer process. It requires that the desktop and the taskbar are implemented by Explorer. |
