VMPlayer is one of the programs in my Recent Programs list.
It expands with sub menus for Recent and Tasks.
How do I add items to those sub menus?

This is called a "jumplist". Each program is in charge of its own jumplist. I don't think VMware Player does a very good job at this... |

I don't suppose there is any way to help it out and add to the jumplist through some back door? |

The contents of the list are stored in a secret file with undocumented format. Even if it is possible to manipulate the contents, the next time you start the program it may overwrite your changes. |
