Hi,
I'm using Classic Shell on a Windows 8 machine, and I've found that many of my 32bit programs are not showing up in the start menu (they show up on the Win8 Start screen but I don't use that). How can I make them show up?

Thanks

The start menu shows the combined contents of these 2 folders:
C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu
C:\Users\<user name>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu
That's where installers place shortcuts to the programs they install. Can you see if the programs you are missing have shortcuts there?

They have folders in ProgramData, but there's nothing in the folders. :?

edit: if I create a shortcut manually and put it in the ProgramData file it seems to work!

Looks like something is busted on your machine. Try to figure out where the start screen gets its contents. Search for a shortcut with the name that is displayed there.

It seems that Start Menu shortcuts are going in C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs.

...That's not normal, is it!?

Yup, that's where they should go. The start menu shows those shortcuts when you expand the Programs sub-menu.
