I am an IT Admin in charge of all computer labs at a College in NewEngland,
And thou, we are very happy With our Windows 7 in all our computer labs, If we were some how forced to move to Windows 8
What would we need to do to be all legal and good to use Classic Shell on all our computers with windows 8?

I personally Love Classic Shell, and I help any and all students with new personal Laptops running windows 8, to install Classic Shell upon their computers. Thus, making them very, very happy.

Thank you for your time,

IT Admin

nothing really, just install it, its free for commercial use, i think if your not modifying the source code anythings game (i could be wrong about some other parts, like maybe you cant try to sell it but idk, and im sure an installation fee is different than selling, in your case)

^^ What he said. Classic Shell is free to use and to distribute for free. As long as you don't charge for it, you are fine. There is nothing preventing you from using it on Windows 8, as long as the corporate/college policy allows it.

Thank you,
In truth, we would not have any interest in trying to change any part of the software, and as long as an Administrator of Classic Shell gave us his OK to use it on our computer labs, then Our Dean of the IT Department would most likely give the the OK to use it, if it ever comes to us moving to either windows 8 or some other future windows version that has also taken away our beloved Start Button.
Thank you again,
IT Admin, of computer Labs
Eric
