Great App! I really like the Classic Start Menu portion. I've got it set to load automatically in WinPE. The Classic Shell folder is kept on a persistent portion of my USB drive. Changes to the system drive and registry don't survive a reboot in WinPE however, so is it possible to load the backup .xml file automatically at startup? Thanks |

The per user settings are stored in the registry at HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\IvoSoft. Set up the Start Menu as you want and export that registry key or the Classic Start Menu subkey to a REG file. Then use: reg.exe import <path to .reg> to import it. Note that changing the menu settings while the Start Menu is running is not supported. You must either load the REG before the menu starts or exit it using "C:\Program Files\Classic Shell\ClassicStartMenu.exe" -exit switch, import the REG and then start it again. For HKCU, you don't even need admin privileges. |
