I was reading about a hidden feature in the normal Windows Start Menu, where there's an 'Exit Explorer' option when you do a Ctrl-Shift-RightClick somewhere in a blank area of the Start Menu.

Is this not available with Classic Start Menu?

You are right, this isn't available in the Classic Start Menu. On Windows 7 you can access it from the Windows Start Menu. In Windows 8, this item is moved to the Taskbar's context menu.
