Hello all.

I have had ClassicShell since 3.x. the attached picture is what my "Customize Start Menu" has always looked like. It's all I've know. As you can see in the screen shot, I am running version 4.0.2 now.

I recently installed ClassicShell 4.0.2 on a fresh Windows 8.1 machine and the "Customize Start Menu" was completely different new and refreshed. I liked it a lot.

I came home, used RevoUninstaller Pro to remove ClassicShell 4.0.2, removed all of the extra files and registry entries it found. I reinstall ClassicShell 4.0.2 and my Start Menu settings are still the same and so is the "Customize Start Menu" area. How do I completely remove ClassicShell, it's settings and get the new "Customize Start Menu" look?

Thank you

The look of the "Customize Start Menu" tab depends on the selected style. If you choose one of the classic styles (from the Start Menu Style tab) you get the settings from your screenshot. If you choose the "Windows 7" style you get the new settings, which look like a table.

Oh Geez! I feel like such an r-tard! I didn't even look at that Style setting cuz I thought I had it on Windows 7. Plus, I didn't know that changing the style changed the Customize Start Menu section. And the windows 7 setting is the exact look I was looking for. Thank you very much for your help. Glad it was simple. I did a hole lot of work for nothing. lol
