I have ticked the Cascading All Programs menu in the Windows Start Menu tab but Classic Start Menu 3.9.1 does NOT cascade the All Programs menu... This only works in the Original Start menu of Windows 7, so after I have clicked Shift-StartButton (which opens the Original Start menu). Could someone make a note of this, so this can be resolved in 4.0? ![]() ![]() |

The Windows Start Menu tab is only for the original Start menu of Windows 7. The corresponding setting for the classic menu is called "Show All Programs inside the menu" and is in the Main Menu tab. |

TNX for your quick response. OK, problem solved. Perhaps this could be added to the menu item in the Main menu tab: "Show All Programs inside the menu instead of Cascading All Programs"? This might avoid confusion... |

Or reverse the checkbox? "Show All Programs as a cascading menu". In the wording "Show All Programs inside the menu", the focus on "inside" is sometimes not understood by the user. He can interpret it as "Show All Programs in/inside the menu". Meaning he can think that it just hides All Programs. |

You've got it GauravK! I initially interpreted this item too as "Show All Programs in the menu". Perhaps it's best when the checkbox is reversed: "Show All Programs as a cascading menu". Please use the same wording in the Windows Start Menu tab. Just to avoid confusion!?! |

The setting cannot be reversed. It has 2 sub-settings inside it. It will be weird of the sub-settings are enabled when the main setting is unchecked. The right solution is to have 2 radio options: Cascading and Inline. It will break backwards compatibility though. |

If that is a major problem perhaps it would be best to make only a tiny "wording" alteration: "Show All Programs inside the menu instead of Cascading All Programs" in the Main Menu tab. That would avoid any confusion, wouldn't it? |

But that description is too long. ![]() ![]() |

I see that you have altered the menu from Classic Start Menu 3.9.1 to Classic Start Menu 3.9.3! Much better this way: less confusion... Keep up the good work!
