Hi!

I really like classic shell, there's one option I'm missing though: an option to enable "full shutdown".

http://www.howtogeek.com/129021/how-to-do-a-full-shutdown-in-windows-8-without-disabling-hybrid-boot/

You could make it available (with an option) in the shutdown arrow menu, some people might even want to have it as the shutdown button.

Thanks,
Laszlo

Just hold down the Shift key while you click "Shutdown" in the menu to do a full shutdown. You could of course create a custom item yourself that directly does full shutdown.

In Windows 8.1, another way to always do a full shut down is to use the Win+X menu. The shutdown item in the Win+X (power users) menu never does a hybrid shutdown.

Thanks! I searched the forum and did not find a topic with this name. Anyway, an advanced option for this would still be great

It is not included as a separate item because there needs to be localizable text for "Full shutdown" for all the languages Classic Shell supports. :) There isn't in Windows.

But if you use the Classic style menu, you can add it as a subitem to the Shutdown menu.

1. Open Start Menu Settings and go to the Customize Start Menu tab (after enabling All Settings).
2. In the right column, locate "Custom" command at the very bottom and drag it over the Shutdown main item so it gets added as a subitem.
3. In the command field, type your command e.g. Shutdown.exe /s /t 0, fill in optional fields such as Label (which means the name of the menu item), Icon and Tip.
4. Click OK twice to save changes.

Unfortunately the "Windows 7 Style" doesn't have this option. I will stick to the shift option then.
