Hello All,

I am having an issue that I just can't seem to figure out and I need some help, please.

I am running classic start menu on multiple computers (all windows 8.1) and I am having an issue on my laptop. I am not sure how to word this correctly but my pinned programs are not giving me a shortcut to the recent files. For instance, I have Excel pinned in the Start Menu but when I go to select there is no arrow to the right that shows the recent Excel files.

I have looked through the settings but I didn't see anything. I tried importing settings from a computer that it worked on to this one but it didn't help. I have completely removed the program and registry entries and tried reinstalling but it's still not showing up.

I am probably overlooking something but I need your help!

I thank you in advance for your time.

Unpin one of the programs you use frequently and look for it in the frequent programs list - does it have a jumplist there?
If the same program is pinned to the taskbar, do you see the jumplist?

No, there isn't a jumplist in either place. I pinned it to the taskbar just to check but I don't have that on any of my computers.

Then jumplists are disabled in Windows. I think the setting for it is somewhere in the taskbar properties. It is something about storing recent documents.
