Somehow my window pane/toolbar moved itself to the side of the page and I cannot get it to move back to the bottom?

Do you mean the taskbar? Right click it, and ensure 'Lock Taskbar' is unchecked
Now hold down the left mouse button, and drag it towards the bottom of your desktop
Then right click, and check 'Lock Taskbar' Again

If you mean some other element in windows, A screenshot would be helpful in understanding what you mean
