Windows 8.1 - Classic Style - 1920x1080

I use the Control Panel menu to access "Windows Update". After updating Classic Shell above V4.0.4 the menu will not scroll leaving the last four entries unavailable including "Windows Update".

Have been waiting for an update to resolve the problem thinking I can't be the only one with this problem. Seems I must be. Help!

Do you have a touchscreen? The scroll with the mouse is disabled if touchscreen is detected so you can scroll with your finger. Or you can use the mouse wheel or the arrow keys to get to those extra items.
The next version of Classic Shell will have a setting to manually disable the touch features because in some cases the OS lies.

Ivo your diagnosis is correct. I have a desktop computer with a touchscreen monitor. Never thought to use other options for scrolling. Thank you for the quick response!

Ivo,

I have the same issue with my Win8 touch tablet (Control Panel won't scroll). Have you been able to add the new option in 4.1 (what I'm using)? I don't see any option in the settings.

If not, any idea of where I can change this behavior in Windows (option or registry hack)?

Thanks for the great product!

There is a new option named "Enable touch features" in the beta version 4.2.0: viewtopic.php?f=4&t=3449

Thanks. Just tried the beta. Control panel now scrolls again when mouse hovers after I disabled the touch feature.

Have updated Classic Shell to the beta v4.20 also. Works fine for me even with the touch feature enabled. Also no problems with the beta version.
