I'm using Windows 7 style (but tried with the other 2 as well).
Entering a term in search box either returns no results or very slow.
I thought it was goping to use the built-in Windows search function, but it appears that it is not. The built-in search, IMO is terrific and I'd hate to lose it.

What search term are you entering, and what do you expect to find?

From Start Menu settings, go to the "Search Box" tab and enable the option "Search all indexed locations". Then, try searching.

Let's not offer solutions before we know what the problem is.

I just installed the latest build (posted today 6/25/2013). Search works better but still doesn't work well with Outlook (OL 2010). I paste in a short string (into the search box) from an email I received today (I added quotation marks) and I see a display more results option. No results are ever shown.
By comparison, if I shift/start to use the Windows search, the search term is located and displayed immediately.

I haven't looked at anything else yet.

Thanks,
David

Classic Shell doesn't search emails, only files and programs.

Can you show a screenshot of where on the Windows Start screen search do you see Outlook email results? (To take a screenshot, press the Windows key and the Print screen keys on the keyboard together.) Are Outlook email results shown in files? Classic Shell, as of this version doesn't yet search using installed protocol handlers. Outlook installs a protocol handler to search its email store.
