Update: Here is the full Windows XP Start Button compilation

Here are Start buttons to use with matching Royale or other Windows XP Visual Styles: (Right click -> Save image as/Save picture as to download)

These are only for the Taskbar at the bottom. If you want these same buttons for taskbar at the top or sides get them here: http://xxinightxx.deviantart.com/gallery/25433886

The start buttons with just icons have an irritating black border.

If you mean the dark line around button, that's the design.
If what you see is a big black background on the taskbar,
that means the original bitmap with alpha was not copied properly.

Each browser can work differently.
Saving an image from webpage might come out as something else.
If possible instead of saving, use copy and paste function.
Then the black background will be invisible when it's used as a button in program.



For easability, I converted those buttons from transparent bitmaps, to more compatable transparent png.
They are in the zip. :)

I found a Royale Noir start button, but I don't remember where. Here it is.

The only problem I have with it is that the curved right edge is too pixelated.
