Experiment #3 Carbon Steps
This skin still has the bars from work.
I modified the XP lookalike skin of CSM, with a chainsaw.
I made it as plain as can be. No bright Windows colors.
I made this one to follow the Win 8 glass color, but only for selection.
It more or less tracks the desktop background color,
just at differing levels of brightness.
I tried briefly in Win 7. It shows up a menu shadow artifact line,
above top right corner.
Something does not like the way I cut right column down a bit?
To get rid of the line, disable the "menu shadow" in the "Menu look" tab.
Also in Win7, the selection color stays grey, always
Tried with CSM 4.0.2 on Win7/8 Works best in Win8.
Not compatible with most older versions of CSM. Will only partially work.
After downloading file, paste in skins folder. Exit CSM, restart CSM,
and go to "Start Menu Style" tab. Pick Classic or Classic two columns.
Pick "Carbon Steps" in Skin tab.
ps. Feel free to change anything in this skin, especially my errors,
as it's just an experiment.
Sometimes errors can lead to new ideas. When I accidently put the wrong figures for slices for single column,
it squeezed the edge up. This made the 3D depth appear shorter.
It worked for single, but not 2 column, so I made screen shot bitmaps of it all instead.
Nothing is permanent, everything changes:)
