I am wondering if Classic Shell could include links to the "Search the Internet", and "See More Results" items like the Windows Vista and Windows 7 Start menu?

I've included a screenshot.

To add "Search Everywhere" or "See More Results", add a custom command as a sub-item for the SearchBoxItem from "Customize Start Menu" tab:
search-ms:query=%2

Give it a label and icon you want.

To add "Search the Internet" (using Google and it will open in the default browser), add another custom command as a sub-item for the SearchBoxItem from Customize Start Menu tab. The target should be:
http://www.google.com/search?q=%2
If you use another search engine, replace the URL with its URL.

I have this search enabled on my start menu and several custom search menus. Normally if a search returns item(s) from programs/path, the top result is highlighted. However, if there are no results, you have to go back to the mouse, or use the arrow keys to highlight the custom search.

Is there a way to make it so if no app results are found, the top custom search menu item is highlighted, so you can just press enter after typing the search string?

Thanks!

Good news, the latest beta version, 3.9.0, linked from the home page has "Search the Internet" and "See More Results" as a built-in feature of the Windows 7 style. Try it if you are interested.
