My suggestions for implementation
  1. Change the appearance of the avatar frame between the square and round stylized for Windows 10 and larger avatar frame
  2. Larger icons for items on the right side of the menu
  3. Icons on the left for the right-hand side menu names
  4. More predefined start buttons
  5. Ability to add your own shortcuts, location to the right of the menu
  6. You can add a command line to the right of the menu
  7. Possibility to change submenu to dark style
  8. Can set the same color and transparency instead of the white menu page
  9. Sort the Applications folder by name just like regular folders in the menu
  10. You can choose whether to use Modern UI applications in the Applications folder or as shortcuts

1. you can change this, but you have to modify the .skin file (its a bit advanced but its there)
2. again something you can already do with a skin
3. I do actually like this idea. (though IVO has the final say)
4. custom buttons are really all you need. (though an easy way to browse the ones submitted online would be nice)
5. you can already add custom items to the left, or right, though its not drag/drop (you have to add them in the Classic start menu settings dialog)
6. an option to input commands into the searchbox might be cool (and basic stuff like a calculator, or commands like 'google "Insert text" to open up a google search) but is more in-line with what cortana does.
7. skins control everything about the submenu, and an option can already be implemented via skin options if the user wished (or hardcoded)
8.?
9. the 'all programs' & 'Apps' subs menu are already sorted alphabetically
10. ?
