just wondering if it wouldn't be particularly difficult, could you add an option to disable hot-corners IN METRO UI. the main reason im asking is because Modern Mix (http://www.stardock.com/products/modernmix/download.asp) inadvertently re-enables them (i suspect that modern mix makes windows think its still in the metro UI, even when its in desktop mode)

Have you tried this registry tweak?: http://winaero.com/blog/how-to-disable- ... windows-8/ Also, try Skip Metro Suite which uses a different method to kill them: http://winaero.com/comment.php?comment.news.103

On Windows 8.1, you can try Winaero Charms Killer: http://winaero.com/comment.php?comment.news.219 instead of Skip Metro Suite.
