My feature request is an option that gives an ability to make "auto arrange" checked by default.
in 4.1.0 it's not possible

What setting auto arrange does is it sets the value data of the Registry values at HKCU\Software\IvoSoft\ClassicStartMenu\Order to hex:4f,54,55,41. However the names of the values are not fixed, they vary on each PC so it can't be set "by default". As a workaround, if you delete the HKCU\Software\IvoSoft\ClassicStartMenu\Order\ Registry key and then if you set it to read-only permissions (remove write access to that key for the currently logged in user account), the menu won't essentially be able to write to that key to store the order and will always be sorted by name. Or you could write a Windows script/batch file which reads the value name at the above Registry key and sets the value data to hex:4f,54,55,41. |
