Thanks atari800xl for the reg values. And the current builds of Windows 10 allow the buttons to be turned off via the GUI by right clicking an empty area of the Taskbar.

It would be great if Classic Shell/ Start Menu could include an option to move the "adjacent" (and for many of us: unwanted) new Windows 10 icons called "task view" and "search". Thanks! EDIT: There's a project with source code here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7OUCiF7XMjc |

Turns out it's pretty easy to remove the icons. Last setting is for the new notification area: Code: Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
