Post subject:  Export settings

As a IT Technician I have had to install Windows 8.1 on all of our machines, however the powers that be have said they want classicshell on all of them to keep the Win7 feel that they can use. It's a pain having to manually change all the settings, so an export and import settings option would be highly useful to me and possible others.

You can click the "Backup" button in the Settings dialog and save the configuration to an XML file. You can import the same XML on all other machines. This has to be done manually for each machine.

If you prefer a more automatic way, you can export the contents of this registry key on the PC where you have it configured: HKCU\Software\IvoSoft\ClassicStartMenu and then silently merge it on whatever machines you wish to deploy it on.

Finally, if multiple users are going to use 1 machine, and in case you want to enforce settings for all users on 1 machine, look at the Administrative Settings section in Classic Shell's Help file.

Thanks! I wasn't aware of this feature :)
