I think it would be cool to allow more than one frame from hot to pressed, even if there is a delay.. it could be a delay we are happy with, a fast animation, etc.. maybe a gear spinning which winds up the start menu

While the format supports it, Classic Shell can only handle animated transitions between the normal and the hot state. This may change in the future.
