I really liked the filmstrip view in Windows XP and it's gone in 7. (No the preview pane doesn't count.) Since Classic Shell already integrates with explorer, it seems a good fit to bring back filmstrip in the view options.

Unfortunately, adding filmstrip view to Explorer will require writing a whole shell namespace extension for just this one feature. It is not planned. Instead, if you use Microsoft Office Picture Manager, it has a filmstrip view.
