I think it would be a very good idea to make classic shell compatible with the skin files that startisback uses, because at deviantART most, if not all, the themes created there need startisback for the menu otherwise the start menu won't be customized according to the theme. I myself think classic shell is way better than startisback but I'd like to use those themes and have my start menu be customized as well, which is why it's a shame that it's not compatible. If it would be made compatible I think a lot of startisback users would switch to classic shell simply because it's got so much more functions. |

Yeah compatibility with Windows visual styles is one of StartIsBack+'s advantages. And there are plenty of users creating new skins packs and themes at Deviantart. I think because Classic Shell uses its own complex skinning system and has extra features, it would be hard to achieve compatibility with Windows visual styles and retain the extra features. Ivo can explain it better. |
