I don't really know if Classic Shell can do something like that, but as it already changes the startorb, it may be possible: The idea is to get a link to the control panel when right clicking on the Taskbar, so there is no need to go through the start menu to adjust system settings! This is similar to the way recent Android systems work, maybe the link could just be added below or above the "start task manager" link...

How is it more efficient that using the Start Menu to access the Control Panel if both require exactly 2 clicks?

If you are using Windows 8/8.1, you could use the Win+X menu which appears by right clicking the bottom left hot corner. It has a link to Control Panel.

You could also pin Control Panel to the Taskbar. It's jump list shows Control Panel items directly.

Instead of the Taskbar, you can add Control Panel to your right click Context Menu with File Menu Tools.

With this program you can add anything you'd like to the right click menu.

I've used this for years, it works great and is free.

The original poster is talking about right clicking on the Taskbar. :) I use FileMenu Tools as well but its context menu appears only when you right click the Desktop or inside Explorer.

I appreciate your suggestions, but to me a Control Panel link on the Superbar would be more of a "all important things in reach without much effort" thing, like it is with Android right now. After all you can remove the Control Panel from the start menu and I think it's even hidden per default from the Explorer...

I am not sure the Taskbar context menu (the one with Lock the Taskbar command) can be modified. What's wrong with the Win+X menu that appears when you right click the bottom left corner? Or are you using Windows 7?

No, changing the taskbar context menu is not a planned feature.
