I would like cycle start button feature once per day or once per logon. can start menu cycle through button images in folder? I know speed should not be affected if low frequency of changing is allowed |

I guess it can load a different button when the Start Menu restarts but do people use so many buttons?  Also, it would have to save the last button used and if default size of each button image is different it can't automatically switch that. But still an interesting idea. I think Tenzen in our forums also asked for it in the past. Ivo will decide if it's possible as it must not be based on a timer or it will impact performance. It can probably be based on some operating system event.

You can set the start menu to use a particular image file, and then run a script at login to copy a random image on top of it. |

How to run script before Classic Shell loads? please help I am not familiar with it. or I will have to log out? |

I don't think you can run scripts before the start menu. Your script will run after the start menu and the change will be applied the next time you log on. |

classic shell team is there no chance you will add this feature? i love being able to set custm btn but changing it daily is a hassle. i was unable to get a script to work as I wanted. my request is just like changing wallpapr. windows allows changing wallpaper manualy but it still has slideshow feature for easy button changing. i request the ability to assign a folder containing start button images in classic shell so on every new logon or next start of classic shell it can apply new start button. please consider fans will go crazy over this as they love bells and whistles (myself included)  even micrsoft added more personalization options in Metro |
