Hi,

it would be very helpful, if the correct language file is downloaded directly from the Servers to the program directory, just when it is needed/selected by the user. Also when classicshell starts, it should check if the Version of the language DLL ist right, if not try to download it. If download fails, ask user for Directory to find DLL

or

Much better, if the language is to be asked while installing (As additional Options) and then downloaded directly from the Setup-directory/Internet while installing. And ask the user for path if no internetconnection is available. :-)

It is difficult to download it manually to the correct directory, as you must download, save and then copy it to the correct Directory. And this with every new Version.
The actual method is not easy for many simple users! :-(

The thing is the language files are not released at the same time as the main build. They are done by volunteers around the world who work on their own time.
Besides, as you pointed out, installing a language file is not straight forward because to save a file in Program Files you need to be running as admin. So the installation will require elevation or help form the machine administrator.

I am thinking about possible solutions but it is not as straight-forward as you might think.

The fact, that the translations are not ready when main program is released is known, but my suggestions also work with that handicap.
The Setup already asks for Elevation to finish the installation, so it would make no further effort.
Also possible, release the final version only after a defined number of translations are available, e.g. the 10 main languages.
