Post subject:  Possible Problem With Classic Shell

Running Classic Shell 3.6.8 and Win 8.

I use Notepad++ 6.4.1 for most of my editing but recently something has happened. Notepad++ can't seem to open a file for edit when clicking on the file and selecting Notepad++ as the option. I can open same file by going to it within Notepad++.
Here's the error:
Notepad++ Extension: Error
ShellExecute Failed(2): Is this command correct?
"C:\Program Files(x86)\Notepad++\Notepad++.exe"
"C:\Program Files(x86)\Notepad++\Change.log"
Looks like the Shell has a problem with Notepad++. Other editors like MS Notepad or Wordpad do work when clicking on a file.

Notepad++ worked earlier with earlier versions of Classic Shell but either a change to it, Win 8 or an update to Notepad caused this problem.

Any Ideas?

Thanks,

Classic Shell is just like a regular program - a suite containing a Start Menu and Explorer add-ins. It doesn't replace the Windows Shell or modify Windows in any other way. Try uninstalling Classic Shell temporarily and see if Notepad++'s Edit action works again.
