I prefer a lean Navigation Pane, so use a few small .reg tweaks to remove 'Favorites', 'Libraries', 'UsersFiles', 'Homegroup' and 'Control Panel' from the namespace tree. This leaves me with a top-level 'Desktop' and indented beneath I have only 'Computer', 'Network' and 'Recycle Bin'.

If I context-click on the Start orb and choose 'Open', it will open a new window based on the UsersFiles namespace extension with the main file area (shell view pane) showing the correct files & folders to be seen and the address-bar shows "[my-user] > AppData > Roaming > Microsoft > Windows > Start Menu> ", but because the Navigation Pane no longer has the UsersFiles icon, the tree remains completely collapsed. No action within that window will get the navigation tree to expand to match whatever is shown in the main file area unless I interact with the tree directly.

It is a minor niggle, I know, but can you think of a way where it can be made to open to a more direct path instead of relying on the 'UsersFiles' namespace extension?
