not sure if the scaling is based on width, or a diagonal across the image, but if it were based on height, it would be 'compatible' with a larger variety of start button images without having to re-adjust i think |

It's based on width and the advantage is that you can leave space from the left on the default horizontal taskbar. Plus, you can control the scaling using the size parameter which makes it very flexible. 0 means default width of the image. |

basing it on height means that regardless of the images width the height will match your taskbars height (or larger/smaller if you choose) basing it on width means that regardless of the images height the width will match what? (theres no definitive width 'marker' that needs to be upheld within reason, and a wider icon simply pushes the taskbar items further over, whereas, a start button taller than the taskbar can block the corner of a maximized program from view. thus i feel basing it on the height would mean less need to modify this value with new icons. as far as adding 'space' to either side, that duty lays within the image itself. |
