I think i found a bug in Windows 7, when using classic theme (non-aero).
Without program Classic Shell, start menu button have two states - normal and pressed.

When using CS, only normal state appears - and i not change start button at all.

That's how it is. If you don't replace the Start button, it is not really pressed when you open the Classic Start Menu. It is only pressed when you open the Windows 7 Start Menu. To address this limitation, replace the Start button with the Classic Shell button. Then the button will have the expected states when used with either menu.

Is there a way to change Classic Shell icon to Windows icon, then?

Yes it's possible. Set the Classic button first. Then go to the Start button tab.

There is a separate "Button ICON" setting for the Classic button. Select it, then press the [...] button to pick an icon.

You will find the Windows 7 icon in C:\Windows\System32\winver.exe.

You can adjust the icon size too and button text as well.
