Post subject:  Metro apps shown in Win 7 menu even if option unchecked

I use Classic Start Menu 4.3.0. When using "Classic style" or "Classic with two columns" all is fine.

However, when I select "Windows 7 style" something odd happens. I've told Classic Start Menu not to show the metro apps, as shown here:

However, the Metro apps do come up in the start menu, as shown here:

There are two folders called "Apps". The first one I've made myself and contains the Apps I want to keep in the menu. But the second one appears system-generated (and doesn't show up in the other two styles) and even contains entries for programs I've uninstallled.

How do I get rid of this second "Apps" folder? Is it a bug or something about Classic Shell I do not understand?

Thanks!

To turn off "Metro apps" inside "All Programs" go to "Main Menu" tab and uncheck "Show Metro apps" under "Inside main menu".

Thanks a lot! That works!

On a related note: what is the purpose of the "Games" menu option that also only shows up in Windows 7 style? When I click it, Explorer opens to show a completely empty folder with only some menu options that can be reached elsewhere too.

And AFAIK it also doesn't appear in the native Windows 10 menu (or the old native Windows 7 menu).

And is there a way to get rid of this option?

If you install Windows 7 games: http://winaero.com/blog/windows-7-games ... and-above/, they will show up in this folder. Also any file shortcut to any game you have on your PC can be copy-pasted into this folder.

To hide it, from Customize Start Menu tab in Settings, set Games to "Don't display this item".
