I have windows 10 64 pro, anniversary edition, build 14393.105. I disabled cortana using gpedit and on restarting this morning, whenever I try to run a program (or at least one that requires elevation), the program doesn't get run and classic start menu stops responding. Using shift+win enables me to start things as normal though.

enabling cortana fixed the issue, but I'd like to be able to run without it.

Does reenabling Cortana fix the start menu?
