I know that Insider builds aren't officially supported, but I thought I would share this. Apparently, something changed and now the programs section of the taskbar isn't skinned. I'm not complaining, I actually find it amusing and wanted to share. I actually like the fact that it covers the notification area. Maybe this could be a good thing in disguise?

While that doesn't look too bad; it could already be done with a custom task-bar image.. so its not exactly a good thing. Thanks for reporting though.. even if insider builds aren't supported, we need to know the issues as they pop up so we can fix them before the build goes live

My thought is that whatever changed this may open up an opportunity to skin the program section separately. I'm already imagining all of the cool things that could be possible if that's the case. Either that or taskbar skinning's short life is already ending, which would suck. Let's hope it's the first... |
