I use Classic Shell on notebook with touchpad, OS Win10. If I do double click on touch pad (not with the buttoms, doing real double touching with fingers in touchpad), it is not get recognised as double click anymore. There is a recognition delay. If I repeat several time, it gets recognised sometimes.

This behaviour was not before I installed Classic Shell. It works fine, if I deinstall Classic Shell but orignal start menue is destroyed after.

You can 100% sure that Classic Shell does not affect touchpad behavior in Windows 10. You can try two things:
- Open Control Panel and then open Mouse. From the Mouse tab, adjust the double click speed.
- Try this: http://winaero.com/blog/fix-touchpad-le ... ndows-8-1/ (Open Touchpad settings in Settings app and set it to "No delay (always on)".

Somehow, I agree with you. I can only say, if I uninstall classic shell the behaviour is gone.

About your suggestions:

> - Open Control Panel and then open Mouse. From the Mouse tab, adjust the double click speed.
There is no visible effect.

> - Try this: http://winaero.com/blog/fix-touchpad-le ... ndows-8-1/ (Open Touchpad settings in Settings app and set it to "No delay (always on)".
There is no Touchpad section. The reason is, that Win10 is running in a VMware virtuell machine with Win7 host. This means, there is no native driver for it, VMware is emulating the mouse driver, including the touchpad. It is working fine in Win 7.

Do you know any other place (eg registry) for setting up the delay?

Well the Registry value for it is at HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\PrecisionTouchPad. The value is AAPThreshold and the value data should be 0 which means no delay after typing. You will need to log out of your account in the VM after setting it. Try if it works.

But your issue seems to be different - of double taps not being sent inside the Virtual Machine. I don't know anything to change that behavior.

I changed the value AAPThreshold to Zero. As expected, the doube tapping issue continues - still hanging and only working after several trials.

I made a copy of the VM and uninstalled classic shell. After the double tapping was working correctly. I suspect still a relation with classic shell.

Do you have any idea? Have you tried classic shell in a VMware VM?

Classic Shell will not affect anything except its own Start menu settings. You can try playing with the Start Menu settings or VMWare settings and determine if a particular setting causes it. It should not affect how your touchpad behaves in the first place.
